The 50 years of experience in the Ente plum harvest and in its processing of ready to eat prunes have leaded La Compagnie des Pruneaux to become an European reference in organic, conventional and half-cooked prunes.

The Ente plums are harvested at maturity at our local growers or our owned 120 ha organic orchards.

The fruits are washed, dried at 21% of moisture and then sized.

Dehydrated dried Agen plums or sourced from France are stored in our warehouse and are submitted to regular controls.

The prunes are rehydrated up to 35% of moisture.

To ensure 18 months shelf-life, the products are pasteurized before shipping.

They can be pitted on our last generation Ashlock pitting machines and can be redried until 28% or even 23%.

They are packed into private label packagings or into our own brand La Compagnie des Pruneaux (250g, 500g bags, 1kg and 2,5kg) and also into boxes of 5kg or 10kg
In accordance with the regulation, organic prunes are without pesticides residue and do not contain any preservatives. They are systematically pasteurized.

Our conventional prunes from our local growers are available pitted or unpitted with different options of moisture levels and packagins. They can be pasteurized or with preservatives (potassium sorbate).

After the Ente plum crop which takes place from mid-August until mid-September, La Compagnie des Pruneaux processes (on demand) a part of the conventional prunes crop into half-cooked prunes. Those ready to eat prunes are premium quality as they are slightly processed and are only distributed from September to December.
The drying is stopped at 35% moisture level. Unlike traditional prunes, the half-cooked prunes are not rehydrated. They are appreciated for its softness and its characteristics aromas.
